Can you help? We are still trying to find out precisely when the current Sunningdale Allotment site came into being. If you have any information please contact us. We are particularly keen to locate copies of the Holy Trinity Sunningdale parish magazine between 1876 and 1882.

Warning - Potential Problems relating to pesticide residues in manure. Read this for information on widespread issues regarding manaure. An e-petition was subsequently started, asking for aminopyralid (the troublesome ingredient) to be banned. E-petitions are a government initiative. The government response was issued on November 4th, 2008. It mainly reiterates what we already knew ... that aminopyralid has now been withdrawn from sale pending investigation, and that its approval for use has been temporarily withdrawn by the Pesticide Safety Directorate. However, please note that products containing aminopyralid are still in circulation and could be used by farmers.

Autumn 2008 Work

There are several autumn projects at the site: the replacement of the car park fence; pruning of the foliage at the south end of the site, mainly the hollies; installation of an additional standpipe plus some maintenance work on the existing water tanks; and the sprucing up of the seat area. A current set of pictures can be found here.
